It's almost 5 years ago that I decided to begin writing my adventures in Vancouver on what formerly was "Random Thoughts of a Student of the Environment" and now has simply dropped the name to "Hummingbird604.com". Through the years, my blog has evolved, experienced 4 transformations, and is now a travel, food, theatre, dance, performing and fine arts and lifestyle personal blog. Through these 5 years I have grown as a person, as a consultant, as an educator, as a researcher and as a blogger.

On April 30th, 2011 (a week after my actual blogiversary, Earth Day), join me at The Network Hub (3rd Floor, 422 Richards Street) from 5pm onwards to raise a glass and toast to the successes (and why not, the failures) that writing Hummingbird604.com has brought to me.

This event is 100% free, although in lieu of any gifts, I will have a box set up for donations for the BC Cancer Foundation (completely voluntary). As you may know, cancer has taken several friends and family away from me and thus I am extremely fond of cancer-related charities.

We will have some food (appetizers and canapes), some beverages (though you are of course more than welcome to bring some to share). 

Depending on the number of people who confirm, we might move to a larger venue, but I am thinking that 140 is probably a decently sized number and for sure The Network Hub can handle that many people. Feel free to bring a friend, a partner, a significant other or an "it's complicated". Come one, come all!
